DMCA & Copyright Policy

Last updated: May 20, 2026

Our Commitment: SnapSaver respects the intellectual property rights of all content creators. We take copyright infringement seriously and will respond promptly to all valid takedown requests.

1. How SnapSaver Works

SnapSaver is an online tool that provides access to publicly available content from Snapchat's public web profiles. We do not host, store, or cache any third-party media files on our servers. All content is sourced directly from Snapchat's public content delivery network (CDN) in real-time and is streamed through our service for the sole purpose of user convenience.

We function similarly to a web browser — displaying content that is already freely accessible on the public internet.

2. Content Ownership

All media content (images, videos, stories, spotlights) accessed through SnapSaver is owned by its respective original creators and rights holders. SnapSaver does not claim any ownership, license, or rights over third-party content. We are a neutral intermediary that provides access to publicly available information.

3. DMCA Takedown Procedure

If you are a copyright owner or an authorized representative and believe that content accessible through SnapSaver infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice. Your notice must include the following information:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work — Describe the copyrighted material you believe is being infringed
  2. Identification of the infringing material — Provide the URL(s) or a clear description of where the allegedly infringing content can be found on our service
  3. Your contact information — Include your full legal name, mailing address, phone number, and email address
  4. A statement of good faith — Include a statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  5. A statement of accuracy — Include a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf
  6. Your signature — Physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized representative

4. Where to Send Takedown Notices

Please send your DMCA takedown notice to our designated copyright agent:

Email: dmca@snapsaver.com

Subject Line: DMCA Takedown Request — [Your Name / Organization]

5. Response Timeline

Upon receiving a valid and complete DMCA takedown notice, we will:

6. Counter-Notification

If you believe your content was wrongfully removed or blocked as a result of a DMCA takedown notice, you may submit a counter-notification. Your counter-notification must include:

7. Repeat Infringers

In accordance with the DMCA, we maintain a policy to terminate access to our service for users who are determined to be repeat infringers of copyright.

8. Limitation

Since SnapSaver does not host or store media content, our ability to remove specific content is limited to blocking access through our service. Content hosted on third-party platforms (such as Snapchat's CDN) must be addressed directly with those platforms.

9. Good Faith

Please note that under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing may be subject to liability. We encourage you to consult with an attorney before submitting a DMCA notice if you are unsure whether the content infringes your copyright.
